Ticket to the Moon's Warranty Policy

At Ticket to the Moon, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products.

Eligible hammocks are covered by a 10-year limited manufacturer’s warranty. All other Ticket to the Moon products are covered by a 2-year limited manufacturer’s warranty.

These voluntary warranties are provided in addition to any statutory consumer rights available under the laws of the country where the product was purchased. They do not limit or replace those rights.

Statutory Consumer Rights

Customers may have statutory rights under the consumer laws of the country where the product was purchased.

If you purchased your product from a retailer, the retailer remains responsible for claims under the applicable statutory consumer guarantee. If you purchased from our online store, you may contact us directly.

Ticket to the Moon’s limited manufacturer’s warranty is separate from these statutory rights.

What the Limited Warranty Covers

The 10-year and 2-year limited manufacturer’s warranties cover manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship that occur during normal and intended use.

A manufacturing defect is a fault that was caused by the materials used or by the way the product was manufactured. It does not include damage caused by normal use, an accident, external influences or improper handling.

The customer must provide the original proof of purchase when submitting a claim.

What Is Not Covered

The limited manufacturer’s warranty does not cover wear and tear or misuse.

Understanding "Wear and Tear" vs. Defects

Our products are made from high-performance materials designed to be lightweight, strong, and packable. However, these materials can also be sensitive to environmental exposure and improper handling. In particular, lightest fabrics and ultralight products are delicate and require extra care.

This warranty does not cover:

  • UV degradation caused by prolonged sunlight exposure, which can make nylon brittle or discolored

  • Weather or environmental damage, including wind, rain exposure over time, mold, campfire sparks, embers, or animal damage

  • Improper setup or use, including hanging the hammock too high above the ground

  • Accidents, misuse, improper care or improper storage

  • Exceeding the maximum load capacity  of  200 kg / 440 lbs

  • Dynamic loading, such as jumping, aggressive swinging, or bouncing

  • Damage from sharp or rough objects, including jewelry, knives, stones, zippers, buckles, or rough ground contact

  • Any modification or unauthorized repair

  • Knots untied or altered at the hammock ends

  • Normal wear and tear on painted zipper heads where the coating may wear off over time through regular use.

Waterproof and water-resistant materials may gradually lose performance through use, abrasion, ageing or improper care. This normal deterioration is not considered a manufacturing defect.

A third-party repair or modification does not automatically cancel the entire warranty. However, damage caused by that repair or modification is not covered.

The "No User Left Behind" Repair Policy

We believe in sustainability. If your hammock suffers a small puncture or burn (up to 5 cm), it doesn't mean it’s trash.

  • Repair Patches: We provide specialized nylon repair patches available for shipping directly to you.

  • Local Solutions: For faster fixes, standard nylon repair tape or patches sourced from local outdoor retailers are often compatible.

  • Please contact us for guidance before attempting a DIY repair.

Safety Instructions for the Use of TTTM Hammocks

Please use all Ticket to the Moon products with care. Accidents can happen. Before using a TTTM product for the first time, read all safety information provided with the product.

  • Hang the hammock no more than 45 cm / 18 inches above the ground

  • Make sure the ground below is free of sharp objects, stones, or other hazards

  • Use only stable, suitable, living/healthy trees or secure anchor points capable of supporting the hammock and user safely

  • Inspect your gear before every use, including carabiners, ropes, and suspension systems, for wear, damage, or irregularities

  • Stop using the product immediately if any defect or damage is found

  • Store the equipment indoors when not in use, as weather exposure can quickly reduce product life

  • Never leave children unattended

  • Do not jump, bounce, or swing aggressively in the hammock

  • Always test the setup carefully before placing your full weight into it

  • Do not modify the hammock in any way

  • Do not untie the knots at the ends of the hammock

Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or death.

How to Make a Claim

  1. Retailer First: If you purchased from a physical shop, contact them first with your proof of purchase.

  2. Direct Contact: For online orders or registered Tribe members, contact us before shipping any items. We process each claim individually to determine the best course of action.

  3. Response Time: Please allow 2-3 business days for our team to review your application and photos once submitted.

Pro Tip: To maximize the lifespan of your TTTM gear, always store it in its pouch in a cool, dry place when not in use. Constant exposure to the elements will significantly reduce the life of the fabric. Lighest fabrics are delicate and need extra care.
