To celebrate our 30th Anniversary, we partnered with Lampurio, an Indonesian painter and mixed-media artist known for his vibrant visual storytelling. For this anniversary edition, we are working with traditional Balinese fabrics that carry cultural meaning, craftsmanship, and history.

Our first release in this series highlights IKAT, one of the oldest textile dyeing techniques found across Indonesia.

What Makes IKAT Special

In IKAT, the threads are dyed before they are woven.

Artisans carefully wrap, tie, and dye the yarn in sections to form patterns that reveal themselves only when the fabric is finally woven on the loom.

This process requires patience, precision, and deep knowledge passed down through generations — resulting in textiles that appear alive, with organic variations in pattern and tone.

No two pieces are ever completely identical.
