Our Approach

We manufacture hammocks and travel accessories in Bali, Indonesia. This page describes our material use, waste handling, repair options and greenhouse gas reporting.

The information covers PT. Ayunan Bulan International, our Indonesian manufacturing company. It does not represent a consolidated emissions inventory for all Ticket to the Moon entities, including the Austrian GmbH.

Measuring Our Emissions

We use the GHG Protocol framework and Metrikflow to compile our greenhouse gas inventory:

• Scope 1: Direct emissions from our operations.
• Scope 2: Emissions from purchased energy.
• Scope 3: Relevant indirect emissions across our value chain.

Our reported 2024 emissions total was 1,221.63 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent. Purchased goods and services and employee commuting were the largest contributing categories.

The inventory includes estimates where measured data was unavailable. We are compiling our 2025 inventory and reconciling the detailed allocation of emissions in our 2024 reporting. The reported total is therefore presented here without a revised breakdown by scope or category.

Materials and Production Offcuts

We use both virgin and recycled materials, depending on the product and component. Material composition and recycled-content information should be checked for the specific product, rather than understood as applying to our entire range.

For selected products, we reuse fabric offcuts from our hammock production. These offcuts are cut and sewn into new items without being reprocessed into fibres. Reusing fabric in this way is different from using recycled yarn.

A supplier’s material certificate does not automatically certify the finished Ticket to the Moon product.

Product Care and Repair

We provide product-specific care information and offer repair patches and selected spare parts. Customers can contact us for advice about damage and available service options.

Whether a repair is suitable depends on the product, the location of the damage and its extent.

Waste Handling

At our Indonesian operation, separately collected paper, wood and plastics are handed to recycling collectors. Organic waste is composted, and general residual waste goes to landfill.

We record waste quantities by material type. Where records are incomplete, estimates are distinguished from measured quantities. Collection for recycling does not, by itself, establish how much material is ultimately recycled.

About Our Reporting

Our emissions figures describe company activities within the stated reporting boundary. They are not product carbon footprints and do not mean that individual products are carbon-neutral or environmentally impact-free.

An emissions-intensity figure measures emissions relative to a stated unit, such as kilograms of finished products sold. A reduction in intensity does not necessarily mean that total emissions have decreased.
