TICKET TO THE MOON'S

Sustainability Report

our science-based

SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS

We have focused on integrating sustainability into our daily operations, were we craft hammocks and travel essentials that are comfortable, long-lasting, and as light on the planet as possible.
Based in Bali, Indonesia, we combine thoughtful design with responsible production to help people rest well—outdoors and at home—without costing the Earth.

Our approach

Sustainability isn’t a side project in Ticket to the Moon — it’s how we run our business. We are integrating quality, environmental and fair trade practises into one management system so that every decision—from materials to logistics—moves us toward lower impact and higher value.

Each year, our ESG report discloses our company-wide greenhouse gas emissions (absolute and intensity) and our progress toward near-term science-based targets. These targets align with climate science—1.5 °C for Scope 1 and 2, and at least ‘well-below 2 °C’ for Scope 3—and we submit them to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for independent validation.

Base year: 2024 (intensity metrics per kg finished product sold)
Standards in progress: ISO 9001 (Quality Management) as one integrated management system
Fair trade: Guaranteed Member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO)
Carbon accounting: Tracked in Metrikflow, with annual progress updates

2024 baseline

2024 baseline: 1,221.63 tCO₂e

Scope 1: 0.6% (7.33 t)
Scope 2: 8.7% (106.28 t)
Scope 3: 90.7% (1,108.02 t)

Our footprint is dominated by Scope 3 (primarily purchased materials and employee commuting), so reductions focus on material transitions, smarter logistics, and low-carbon mobility.

breakdown of scope 3

Scope 3 hot spots (2024) are:

Purchased goods & services
648.28 tCO₂e (58.5% of Scope 3; 53.1% of total)
Employee commuting 321.12 tCO₂e (29.0% of Scope 3; 26.3% of total).
Together they account for 87.5% of Scope 3 (79.4% of our total footprint).

OUR goals for 2030

(vs. 2024 as base year)

  • ≥40% reduction in Scope 3 emissions intensity per kg of finished product by 2030.

  • Transition to >60% recycled nylon across core fabric lines by 2030.

  • Introduce recycled aluminium for carabiners/accessories and scale to >60% share by 2030.

  • Prioritize shipment consolidation, sea freight over air, and local sourcing where feasible; publish annual modal share.

  • Mobility & business travel: ~40% reduction
in employee commuting emissions per employee by 2030 through carpooling, company transport, and EV/efficient two-wheelers.

  • Supplier engagement:
Work with priority material suppliers on renewable energy adoption and SBT-aligned targets; report supplier coverage annually.

  • Product integrity:
Design for durability, reparability, and safe chemistry; publish product-level care guidance and service options to extend life.

  • Waste & resources:
Track waste by type (kg) across all sites; publish annual totals and year-to-date summaries; integrate results into our carbon model.

These targets reflect our company commitment:
“Ticket To The Moon will achieve its Scope 3 target primarily through recycled materials, logistics optimization, employee mobility, and supplier engagement, targeting ≥40% intensity reduction by 2030 vs 2024.”
