Ticket To The Moon started 14 years ago on the beautiful island of
Bali, Indonesia. As a hammock addict since I was a kid and after using
the Latino-style ones for years of traveling, I had realized that they
were too heavy, hard to pack, somewhat fragile, difficult to set up
and to clean.
For all these reasons, I’ve decided to reinvent the traditional
hammock using modern material and share with my globe-trotter friends.
After testing different qualities of micro fibers, polyester and
nylon, I discovered the parachute material. Also known as silk nylon,
the parachute fabric is both solid and extremely comfortable, a great
combination of elasticity and breathability, providing a perfect body
support with no pressure points.
Ever since my invention, I’ve traveled all over the world, from market
places to music festivals, promoting this revolutionary parachute
hammock. Throughout these years, it has gained popularity and many
back-packers actually started to distribute it, until the Ticket To
The Moon hammock became a “cult-like following”.
Today, we are a team of 45 people in Bali and Ticket To The Moon is
represented in 24 countries.
Ticket To The Moon is more a business tribe than a company, because we
don’t just produce something to sell, but rather live and promote a
lifestyle of harmony and relaxation.
